directions

  • Preheat oven to 350. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat egg whites and set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add flour mixture and milk alternately until combined. Don't overbeat.
  • Fold in beaten egg whites with a rubber spatula. Spread in a well-greased 9x13 inch or larger baking pan. A cake pan with higher sides would be best.
  • In a separate bowl, combine topping ingredients with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Sprinkle all over the top.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until no longer jiggly. Serve warm. DELICIOUS!

  1. Made the huge mistake of clicking this site when searching for a recipe from pioneer woman I had used a year or so ago. Wish I could leave 0 stars. Wth - the recipe is totally inaccurate from the original pioneer woman recipe. It should be 1 1/2 sticks of butter, not 1 1/2 cups! Unfortunately I was half way through the process before I noticed it seems off from the original I made before. What a waste of ingredients. Do everyone a favor and don’t repost other people’s recipe if you can’t read.

I love to try new recipes, and this is a wonderful site to find new additions. I rarely make the same thing twice because it's so much fun to try something different. My life long dream is to travel the world and eat my way around it.
