This was good. I made some adjustments based on other reviews trying to boost the flavor - I cooked the rice in chicken broth and added tumeric and several pinches of coriander from freshly ground seeds. The salt is essential. I wish I had added more of the coriander as the seasoning was still very faint. I sautéed the rice then cooked it in my rice cooker. Even though this is fairly plain it made a good foil for the steak with chimichurri I served it with. Made for ZWT 7 for the Food.commandos

A bit bland. Not enough butter in my opinion and I used double. I added more than a pinch turmeric for a quite light yellow colour. I also added water to measure as I usually do not following how much 1 inch above would be though it may have been as the recipe. Made for ZWT7 Africa, for my team, Food.Commandos

While this was very easy to make, it was pretty bland. I actually cut the recipe down, using only 1 cup of rice and still used a hefty pinch of ground coriander (about half a teaspoon), and I could barely taste it. When I sprinkled more on my individual serving, it was delish and very exotic! Thank you for posting! Reviewed for ZWT - 7.

Well..about me! I'm married, I have 2 kids (both boys), and I live in Australia.
I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember, and have become completely addicted to browsing through Zaar looking for new recipes!
I have a small animal shelter for rabbits and guinea pigs, and spend most of my time looking after kids or critters!.
My favourite cookbooks are The Essential Pasta Cookbook, The Central Cookery Book, Flo Bjielkie-Peterson's Country Cookbook, and Greek Cooking (I bought that one in Greece, and it's FANTASTIC). At the minute, we are getting ready to move, which is forcing me to sort through my recipe cabinet. I have been trying out all those recipes that are scribbled on pieces of paper, or torn from magazines, so I can decide ifthey are keepers or not. So far I've found a lot of keepers, and will work at posting them on here.
I'm passionate about a lot of things, mainly my kids, animals, and cooking.
I won't even start on my peeves, we'll be here all night! lol
