BROWNIES
- 1 cup squash, cooked, mashed (any kind except spaghetti squash)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup toasted nuts

CHOCOLATE SWIRL TOPPING
- 125 g cream cheese, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- BROWNIES:.
- In a large bowl, stir together squash, brown sugar, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, stir or sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt; stir into squash mixture until combined. Stir in nuts. Spread into greased 13x9 inch pan.
- CHOCOLATE SWIRL TOPPING:.
- In a small bowl, cream together cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla; stir in chocolate chips. Set aside.
- Drop topping by heaping 1 tablespoons onto batter. Swirl into batter with knife. Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Let cool; cut into desired size.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
