FOR THE VINAIGRETTE
- 1⁄4 cup white wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup peanut oil or 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon walnut oil (optional)
- 1⁄4 cup walnuts, finely chopped

FOR THE GREENS
- 1 1⁄2 cups fresh spinach, washed, dried, and torn into small pieces
- 2 heads boston lettuce, washed, dried, and torn into small pieces
- 1 1⁄2 cups grapefruit sections

FOR THE VINAIGRETTE:
- In a bowl, mix the vinegar, maple syrup, and salt. Gradually whisk in the peant or vegetable oil and the walnut oil, if using. The dressing can also be made in a blender up to this point. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

FOR THE GREENS:
- In a salad bowl, combine the spinach, lettuce and grapefruit.

TO ASSEMBLE:
- Pour the vinaigrette over the salad and toss. Serve immediately.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
