  • Combine seasoning mix ingredients and set aside.
  • Heat oil over high heat just until it begins to smoke, 3-4 minutes.
  • Add onions, tasso, 1/2 cup sprouts and seasoning mix.
  • Cook, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in tomatoes, garlic, ginger and jalapenos.
  • Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes.
  • Add shrimp, remaining sprouts, and cilantro.
  • Cook until shrimp is just opaque, 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve over pasta or rice.

  1. Wonderful dish! I omitted the tasso and just made this using all 1-1/2 pounds shrimp, I increased the cayenne and used seasoned salt, omitted the garlic powder and used fresh garlic that I sauteed with the onions, thank you for this great recipe Pat, this was made for KK's Green event
     
  2. Very tasty! We really enjoyed all the flavors in this dish! I served it over thin spaghetti. I cut back slightly on the hot stuff because of my little girl and skipped the tasso. Thanks, Chocolatl! Made in support of the Think Pink event.
