  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Cut tofu into 6 or 8 slices.
  • Place in a square pan in a single layer.
  • In a small saucepan, combine water, soya sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and corn starch.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • While stirring, add oil.
  • Pour onto tofu.
  • Marinate 15 minutes (if prepared in advance, refrigerate overnight and rotate tofu occasionally).
  • Bake approximately 25 minutes or until tofu has a glazed look.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • *1 portion = 3 slices and represents 2 portions of meat & substitutes.

  1. Love this! I made this for my non-vegan family and it was a huge hit! I tried to double it and the marinade was a little runny so next time I think I will just use double the tofu as there was plenty of marinade.
