Savory Meatloaf

"An easy meatloaf recipe with a lot of taste. I got this recipe from the back of a Lipton Onion Soup Mix box."

• Yields: 1 loaf
• Serves: 8

ingredients

• 1 (1 ounce) envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets onion soup mix
• 2 lbs ground beef
• 3⁄4 cup plain breadcrumbs
• 2 eggs
• 3⁄4 cup water
• 1⁄3 cup ketchup

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Place meat mixture into a greased loaf pan.
3. Bake for 60 minutes or until cooked throughout. Let sit 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

This was so easy to prepare and after baking for 1 hour came out moist and tasty. 2% milk was used in place of the water. I did find this a little too salty for myself. So the next time I make this I'll use my recipe for onion soup mix, Recipe #327297. That way it will really cut down on the sodium. Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup (July '10-Dec '10)
