- 1 lb spaghetti, cooked
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 (28 ounce) cans tomato puree
- 1 lb American cheese or 1 lb cheddar cheese, cubed or shredded
- 1⁄4 cup margarine
- salt and pepper
directions
- Cook spaghetti until tender.
- Brown ground beef with chopped onion.
- Stir beef,cheese,tomato and salt and pepper to taste into spaghetti and mix well.
- Dot with margarine.
- Bake, covered,@ 350 for 45 minutes.

My mom still has the newspaper cut out passed down to her from her nanna. She ate this growing up, she fed it to me growing up, and now I feed it to my husband. Its simple and tasty. Thanks for sharing it. We use elbow noodles instead of spaghetti, and top it with LOADS of cheese before baking. Then the cheese gets crispy and we all fight over it. :D
