Potato Chive Bread (bread Machine)

This is a delicious tender loaf with the great taste of chives. It is easy to make because it uses instant potato flakes.

Loved it, I made it twice this week. One batch we ate, the other I used the dough cycle and then divided the dough in two and froze for easy dinner nights for DH while I work. Everyone loved this, very flavorful and smells great while cooking. The only thing I changed was I used fresh chives while I had them. Thanks for sharingReply

I've made this bread TWICE in the last two weeks ~ the FIRST time my camera batteries were dead and wouldn't charge so I ate that loaf without taking a photo! I made it the SECOND time today with 2 1/2 cups bread flour and 1/2 cup rye flour, 2 teaspoons vital wheat gluten, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 2 teaspoons black pepper, and 1/4 cup sunflower seeds ~ The bread is DELICIOUS ~ I actually made it the second time just to get a photo! The bread is flavorful from the chives and the texture is soft, yet chewy from the rye flour. Made for CHIVES Herb/Spice of the Month May 2009 in the Gardening Forum ~Reply
