Plum Pie

"When I was little, we moved into a house with a whole backyard of purple plum trees and didn't know what to do with all of them. Luckily one of the neighbours had the same problem and shared this recipe with us. It's delicious!"

 1. Ok! Have the SAME situation...I am inundated with plums! I made this pie recipe yesterday and I made 3 more today!!! It is great and easy!!!
I make it even easier by using a trader joe's crust and just plums, sugar, flour and penzy's apple pie spice.
Yummy warmed up with ice cream...tangy like a rhubarb almost.

 2. I cant say enough wonderful things about this recipie. My grandmother who can cook any dish from memory asked me for the recipie last year. I like the plum pie better than cherry now. Works great with recipe #13619 for the pie crust.

 3. Had a lot of plums in our garden and some pastry that needed used up, so this recipe was great! I used soft brown sugar and crumbed some over the top of the mix too. It turned out lovely served warm with ice cream. Next time I'll probably use shortcrust pastry for the pie crust rather than flaky pastry, but good either way!
