Pig Candy BBQ Rub

3 lbs of bacon

ingredients
- 4 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
directions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl with a wire whisk.
- Coat each piece of thick sliced bacon with maple syrup.
- Liberally sprinkle both sides of each piece of bacon with rub.
- Place each piece on a wire rack with a sheet pan under it to catch all the drippings.
- Bake or cook in your smoker at 350F for about 35 mins, or until desired doneness.
- Remove from heat and let cool before eating.
- Enjoy.
