ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1⁄4 cup celery leaves
- 2 tablespoons pickling spices
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄2 cup onion, thinly sliced
- 4 bay leaves
- 3⁄4 cup Italian dressing (Zesty)
- 1⁄3 cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 drop Tabasco sauce
- 1 tablespoon capers (add a little juice)
directions
- Fill pot with water. Add celery leaves and pickling spices. Boil for at least 5 minutes. Water will turn a brownish yellow. Add shrimp and cook till done.
- Meanwhile, combine all other ingredients in a non metal containe with lid. Peel cooked shrimp while warm and add to container. Place in refrigerator over night.
- Serve with crackers -- remember to bring to room temperature.
