DIRECTIONS

  • Mix together the dry ingredients and spices.
  • Add the eggs, oil and water.
  • Stir in the walnuts (or pecans) and raisins. Add vanilla, if using.
  • Put into two greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pans and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour, checking after 50 or 55 minutes.
