  1. My family loved this dish. The really great thing about it is that it is a one dish meal. Just add a salad and you have the perfect meal.

  2. I did not like this, and neither did my 3 year old who loves mac and cheese. My husband also did not care for it. I will not be making this again...

  3. This was a huge hit with my husband and son! The only modification I made was to add some onion flakes. I left a small portion without ham for me since I am a vegetarian. This one is a keeper!

  4. This was a breeze to make and quite tasty! To make it more toddler friendly, I used Healthy Request soup (lower sodium) and added a small tin of mushrooms (drained and roughly chopped) and about 3/4 cup of thawed frozen peas. Since the sauce is quite thick, I covered the dish for the first 25 minutes, then uncovered it for the last 5 minutes after I added the cheese on top. Thanks for posting!

  5. This was definitely easy to make. I made it exactly as the recipe dictated and both kids liked it. I think next time I'll try adding the peas to it. I can't say it's my personal favorite, but it's definitely a keeper.

Tweaks

  1. My family loved this quick and easy dish. I used bow-tie pasta and cream of chicken soup instead of the cream of mushroom. The cheese that I used was a combination of colby/jack and sharp cheddar...yummy! Also, I wanted to make this a complete one dish meal so I added approx. 1/2 c. of frozen peas. I baked this in a 7"x11" baking dish for 30 mins. covered with foil. After removing the foil, I sprinkled the cheese on the top and baked for another 10 mins. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. It is pure comfort food.

  2. I made this tonight with my six year old. We loved it. The only changes I made were to use spicy brown mustard instead of yellow and I added garlic salt, onion flakes, and some red pepper flakes. I did not measure any of those additions just eyeballed them. It was wonderful and a great way to use up my leftover ham.

  3. We thought this was great! I was out of macaroni so had to use spaghetti which I broke into smaller pieces. I also subbed cream of chicken soup for the mushroom, just a personal preference. Loved how easy this was!
