Memphis Style Barbecue Spaghetti

"I found this recipe in the Neeley family cookbook, I thought it sounded strange but it was my sister's night to choose dinner and she asked me to make this and now our whole family loves it"

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 1 pot
• Serves: 8-10

ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1⁄4 cup diced onion
• 1⁄2 cup diced bell pepper
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 1⁄2 cups barbecue sauce
• 1 lb cooked spaghetti
• 1 lb smoked beef, chicken or 1 lb pork
• hot sauce

directions

1. heat olive oil and then simmer veggies until soft. add all other ingriedients and simmer.

We loved this! I used pulled pork that was dressed with Neeley's Dry Rub and then with Neeley's Barbecue Sauce and the sauce we used on the spaghetti was also the Neeley's recipe sauce. Both the rub and the sauce are here on 'zaar. A real different approach to spaghetti...but ..oh, so good!

I wanted to like this recipe but we just didn't. I saw this on the Neely's show and thought it looked great but it just wasn't for us. I probably wont make again, it just didn't have enough seasoning for us. Thank you for posting, as I said I have always wanted to try this dish.
