Macadamia French Toast

  • Whisk eggs, juice, milk, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla together until well blended. Place bread in a single layer in a tight fitting casserole. Pour the milk mixture over the bread. cover and refrigerate overnight, turning the bread once.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F
  • Pour the melted butter on a jelly roll pan and arrange the soaked bread slices in a single layer on the pan. Sprinkle with the macadamia nuts and bake until golden for 20-25 minutes. Serve with warm maple syrup and butter.
  • Preparation time does not include overnight fridge time.
