Low Sugar Banana Bread

"Don't let the fact that there is only 1 tablespoon of sugar fool you! This banana bread is super moist and has just the right amount of sweetness. Use very very ripe bananas for best results."

  1. I had been looking everywhere for a lower sugar recipe and all the others that claim to be low sugar just replace white sugar w/ some other sugar like honey or syrup. THANK YOU. This recipe has become my template for making other low-sugar breads too!

  2. I was at first a bit skeptical. But i am really working hard on cutting down on sugar and came across this recipe. Yes it is not overwhelming sweet, but its pleasantly sweet, enough to satisfy your sugar cravings :) Instead of the Teaspoon full of sugar I used 25 grams raw brown organic sugar and a bit of Vanilla. I absolutely love this recipe. Thank you.

  3. This is a great recipe if you want plain flavorless white bread. And yes, I used very very ripe bananas. Super disappointed!

  2. I replaced the 1 tablespoon of sugar with 1 tablespoon of rice malt syrup...tasted just as yummy!

  3. I compared several recipes and added: 1/8 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup applesauce (cup size) vanilla cinnamon and nuts. It's very good, slightly sweet.

  4. Added 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon + 1 tsp vanilla extract Subs choc chips for 10 gr dark chocolate
