I got this recipe from my mom; she's had it for years. Easy to make and very flavorful.

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and paprika.
  • Coat chicken pieces with seasoned flour mixture.
  • Melt butter in a baking pan.
  • Add chicken and coat with butter on all sides.
  • Arrange chicken in a single layer.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime, prepare the lemon baste by mixing all ingredients.
  • Pour half the baste over the chicken.
  • Turn over the chicken pieces and pour the rest of the baste over it.
  • Continue baking 30 more minutes , or until chicken is brown and tender.

    Great recipe! I don't care for onions so left them out, otherwise made as directed. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and they came out moist and flavorful. Thanks for sharing this easy-to-make recipe! Made for Spring Pick-A-Chef 2011

    This was a good use of lemons that I needed to use up. My family liked this, but felt that the lemon flavor was the only flavor that came thru. I would up the thyme and possibly cook this differently if I fixed this again. Thank you for posting littlechick.

    This sounded good and lived up to my expectations. Very good flavor. I was out of regular flour, so I used self-rising and kept all other ingredients as directed. All family members gave it 5 stars! Thanks for sharing this excellent recipe.
