Homemade Windex

"NON FOOD!! Cheap alternative to store bought Windex. I keep a spray bottle in each bathroom for quick and easy mirror and counter clean ups. I wipe the mirrors with crumpled newspaper instead of paper towel to achieve a lint free shine!!"

  1. This worked great. I used the 91% alcohol, and it worked great.
  2. Excellent. Thank you.
  3. Good cleaning alternative. I cut it down to use 1 T ammonia, 1 c. rubbing alcohol, 1/2 t. Dawn dish soap, and 1 c. water. Didn't want to make too much if I didn't like it. Very good for basic clean up in the kitchen and bathroom.
  4. This worked very well for me as a general cleaner in the kitchen. For cleaning glass, polish with a newspaper for a gleaming, streak-free finish.
  5. Wonderful! I like this better than store bought. Much cheaper and seems to disappear better off of mirrors and windows. Thank you!

I love food! I believe naming your recipe is just as important as the ingredients. If it sounds good, the kids will have a positive attitude towards it, before they even take a bite. I'm a stay at home mom of three (twins almost 16 years old and an 8-year old). I'd rather cook than clean. I spend hours pouring over my cookbook collection and even more time with my cooking magazines, cutting and pasting recipes into my own binders. If I had a month off, I'd take my family to Florida and Mexico. We'd sit on the beaches and eat fresh seafood forever! And of course, DH and I would enjoy endless Coronas and Tequila Sunrises while our very competant nanny watches the kids.
