Homemade Chocolate Syrup

- 1 cup filtered water
- 3⁄4 cup organic unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup organic sugar
- 1 teaspoon organic vanilla extract
- 1 dash salt
directions
- Combine ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
- Once the syrup is combined and all the sugar and cacao are no longer grainy and visible, remove from heat.
- Store in a glass container in the refrigerator.
- Stir 2 T syrup into 8 oz of milk and enjoy!
- *I have also been able to make this in a high powered blender, so that I don’t have the heat the raw cacao powder as much.
