Grandma's Butter Tarts

"This recipe has been past down from my Grandma to so many people. I have tasted many butter tarts, but these are definitely the best. Everyone who has ever tasted one has asked for the recipe. We make these every year at Christmas. Hope you enjoy these as much as my family does."

This is a great tasting, easy recipe for butter tarts. I made this for the mini dessert buffet for my parents 50th anniversary party. I used Short crust Pastry Recipe 177343 and placed them in a muffin tin.

Tried these butter tarts last Christmas and definitely going to make them again this year. They are as simple to make as they are delicious to eat. I am not a fan of raisins so I used pecans instead and everyone loved them....This a favorite for me sure..Thanks

Made these for the holidays and everyone really liked the results! I doubled the recipe and used the ingredients as called for. I'll make these again for sure. Thanks, Purdy!

Wonderful butter tart recipe. Not too runny. Eliminated the raisins and used pecans instead. This is a family favourite.

I am a RN and I work in the operating room, which doesn't leave much time for cooking. But when I find the time I love to find recipes on Zaar and try them out. I have been happily married to a loving husband for 4 years, and he really enjoys all the interesting meal ideas that I find!!! I have no children yet, but hopefully in the near future. I enjoy cooking all types of meals, and love cooking for others!! I enjoy looking up new and exciting recipes from Zaar.
