Gino's Salad Dressing

"Gino's Italian Restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa is known for their fabulous house salad dressing (a creamy Parmesan cheese dressing). This recipe is very close to their great recipe. I know you will be tempted to leave out the achovy paste, but DO NOT. It is what makes this salad dressing so special. Achovy paste is found in most grocery stores and is not expensive. This recipe makes a large batch, so I often make just half of it."

  1. Thank you so much for posting this, I am originally from Des Moines and love this dressing! I always buy it when I am home and of course cannot find it in Phoenix. I made your version and it is so close to the real thing. You are right the anchovies are the key ingredient. Thanks again!

  2. Exactly as I remember it! It has been 16 years since I have been to Gino's and this dressing is the best. Thanks for sharing it.
