  1. I adored this as I adore cardamon. It really bought my ordinary fruit salad and yoghurt up a big notch. I can see this being a regular breakfast as I can make up a big batch of the yoghurt mix and keep in fridge for use any time. Truly yummy !

  2. I had a hard time with this recipe - I used more than double one cup of yogurt, and thus doubled the cardamom. BIG MISTAKE. A little cardamom goes a really long way. Of course, it's not Rita's fault that we added too much cardamom, but I've never actually thrown away RecipeZaar food before. If in doubt, start with way less cardamom, and add until you're satisfied.

  3. I made this with some seasonal fruit (it's winter here at the moment)I loved the tang of the lime cardamon yoghurt, didn't use the honey as I din't think it needed it. Made for ZWT III.

  4. I LOVE fruit! This salad was yummy. I think we would have to get accustomed to the cardamom, though. Hubby and daughter didn't care for it. I liked it, but will use less cardamom next time. I did fresh grind my cardamom seeds, so that could be the reason the flavor was so strong. Still, it was a very good!

  5. I really liked the combination of lime, vanilla yogurt, and cardamom. You can really taste the cardamom, just right for my palate, and it really makes the dish distinctive, different, and delicious. I will make this often! Thanks for posting, Rita!

Tweaks

  1. This was a delicious fruit salad! I used 2 T of greek thyme honey for this amount (and all the fruit in question, but subbed green seedless for the black seedless grapes). The cardamon really gives it a lovely spice fragrance and the pine nuts little bits of unexpected crunch. Wonderful!
