French-Style Peas

"Who'd have thought you could cook delicious peas on the bbq?"

ingredients

• 2 packages frozen peas
• 1⁄4 cup butter, cut into pieces
• 4 shredded lettuce leaves
• 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar

directions

1. Place the frozen peas on a large square of heavy-duty foil.
2. Top with butter, lettuce, sugar and a light sprinkling of salt and pepper.
3. Seal foil into packet and place on grill 8 inches above gray coals.
4. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning packet every 5 minutes.

This just didn't seem to work for me. I don't know if it is my BBQ or what, but the peas did not cook and the butter was partially melted. Everything else I cooked on the BBQ worked but this did not!! Go figure!! I might try it again and leave in on longer and closer to the heat source.
