Figs in Honey

"This recipe is from spain where they call it Higos con Miel and use port instead of ginger wine. This recipe is incredibly rich - most people will only need 2-3 figs per serve."

  • Place figs, ginger wine, orange juice and honey in a heavy base (not aluminium) saucepan and bring almost to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes until syrupy.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
