- 6 strawberries, diced
- 1⁄2 banana, diced
- 1⁄4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
- 8 ice cubes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
- Place 4 ice cubes in blender.
- Add the diced fruit, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
- Drop remaining ice cubes into blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!

I'm not usually one to include ice cubes in my smoothies, but did so here to provide some additional liquid & to stay true to the recipe! Another time, thought, I might use a vanilla yogurt & drop the extract! Still, a pleasant & satisfying smoothie! [Made & reviewed for an adoptee in this Spring's round of Pick A Chef]
