MASALA CHAI MIX
- 2 teaspoons cardamom, green
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 large star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
- 1⁄2 teaspoon mixed peppercorns, whole

MASALA CHAI LATTE
- 1 teaspoon black tea, loose
- 1 teaspoon ginger, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon masala, chai mix
- 1 cup milk
directions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add water and bring to a boil. Add black tea, ginger and chai mix. Stir and boil for 3 minutes. Add milk and if desired, sweetness to it. Reduce heat to medium, stir and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and steep for 2 minutes. Strain mixture to a sieve over a cup pressing with the back of the spoon what left in the sieve. Makes 1 cup.
