Easy Finger Paint

All the recipes I found here were calling for either cornstarch(I was out) or glycerin (didn't have any). I found this on http://www.creativekidsathome.com/activities/activity_42.html. DD is working on it right now. With 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of flour we got enough to make three colors, enough for one time painting. Update:it works! The painting I made was nice, no cracks. The one DD did, crinkled up the paper. She poured the paint on the paper and worked from there. I 'm happy with the result.

This is great! I love how easy it was to throw together, and my son was fascinated that I could change the blue to green/purple/whatever before his eyes. I used 2 T each of the water and flour and it was enough to entertain his short attention span LOL. I was pleasantly surprised, too, that the food coloring didn't stain our fingers. DS liked using the whisk from stirring to paint! Made for our VIP chef, Veg*n Swap 27.Reply
