Easy and Delicious Taco Pizza

"Here is the quick version. I create my own blend of taco seasoning in about a minute, but didn't want the number of ingredients to scare anyone away from this really being a quick and easy recipe. Enjoy!"

  • 1 (2 1/2 ounce) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (16 ounce) can fat-free refried beans
  • 13 cup salsa
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20 -40 tortilla chips (use Doritos for YUM!)
  • 24 inches prepared pizza crust, ready to bake
  • 12 head shredded lettuce, for serving
  • 12 cup salsa, for serving

  • Preheat baking stones, if using, in 425 degree oven 20-30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in skillet, cook ground beef until almost cooked through. Stir in 1/8 cup water and the taco seasoning and cook 2 minutes more, or until beef is cooked through.
  • Mix refried beans and salsa and set aside.
  • Shape pizza crusts and place on sheets of parchment paper.
  • Use pizza peel or edgeless cooky sheet to transfer pizzas to baking stones. Prebake the crust 5 minutes, then remove from oven. You can remove the parchment paper now.
  • Spread bean mixture over prebaked pizza crusts.
  • Spread a layer of meat.
  • Spread a layer of cheeses.
  • Crumble tortilla chips over cheese, to taste.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes more, or until crust seems baked through.
  • Serve topped with salsa and lettuce.
