Dry Rub for Pork Spareribs

• Yields: 1/2 cup

ingredients

• 10 bay leaves, coarsely ground
• 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon dried basil
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon dried thyme
• 1 tablespoon dried oregano
• 2 teaspoons ground cloves
• 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon ground mace
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin

directions

1. Combine all the ingredients. Use as a dry rub for pork or game.
2. I grind the bay leaves in a spice grinder. Or can be crushed in a mortar and pestle.
