  1. Made this yesterday with one of my Beef Casserole Base portions. YUMMY! Since I don't normally have brandy in the house I bought a small sample size bottle and that worked out perfect. In fact I have enough left for another time. Served it with pasta, which was okay, but DH and I think it would be better with mashed potatoes. Since there are only two of us in our household, this makes enough for two generous dinners. Easy, flexible meal on the table in a hurry. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Fantastic!! WOW! I followed the recipe exactly, used the Beef Casserole Base from the freezer, and it was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful introduction to OAMC! I'm so happy to have 5 more batches of base in the freezer and am looking forward to trying the other two variations this month! Thanks!

  3. I've made this a couple of times now. Once I served it with mashed potatoes and another time with egg noodles. Good and easy, highly recommended. A nice and quick weeknight meal.

  4. Another great meal, Dale. This is a great Diane Style Casserole, I did add a heap of mushrooms and an extra tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Perfect for when the weather has turned cold and you haven't got long to get dinner on the table. I've now made up three lots of your beef casserole base (#48835) to freeze, and have made some really yummy meals from it.

  5. Wonderful! Because I cut the base recipe in half I also had to cut this recipe back. You can't get tomatoes in small cans but I had a 7.5 oz of tomatoe sauce with garlic, basil & oregano so I subbed that for the tomatoes.. I kept the Brandy at 1 tbsp. It was delicious. What a great idea dinner on the table in 15 minuts with lovely tender moist beef. If you wanted you could even get the sauce ready in the AM and just pop it on the stove when you come home. I served this with wide noodles, steamed cauliflower and steamed green beans Thanks dale for an innovative recipe - I will be making the other two suggested recipes in the future

I have a passion for healthy and simple dishes with lots of vegetables, although I love a treat every now and again also, especially ice cream!
