  1. These Sloppy Joes are really great! They smelled so good cooking, also! Had some left over and DH made a Sloppy Joe Pizza (put Sloppy Joe on Pizza Shell, topped with Cheddar Cheese and Baked) which we had the next day, for lunch! Will keep this recipe handy! Easy meal and great tasting!

  2. this is an awesome recipe with the flavors of all of the veggies melding together and the perfect sauce with the sweetness and tang it needs. I have been making this for about a yr now and i never change a thing. Thanks for a great and easy recipe

  3. Second time have made, TRUE! Did the same thing both times without remembering too! Used 500 g ground beef, doubled sauce too, With my crockpot was worried would get too dry too! The flavour is something to savour, but is personal taste, true! Would recommend this recipe and IS authentic Sloppy Joe taste too!

  4. This is what I think of as a trditional sloppy joe recipe. Delicious with lots of flavor.

  5. This is a great weekday meal. I chopped all my vegetables the night before, then got up and browned the ground beef then threw everything together into the crock pot. This is a very easy recipe and much better then the store bought sloppy joes in a can.

Tweaks

  1. I omitted the celery and added 3 tbsp cinnamon

  2. I was looking for a new sloppy joe recipe because manwich just wasn't cutting it anymore and since I love my crockpot I decided to give this one a try. The only change I made was instead of catsup I used 1 can of tomato sauce and 1 can of tomato paste and left out the celery since my crew isn't really fond of celery.
