Coy's Chocolate Syrup

- 4 cups brown sugar
- 4 cups white sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups baking cocoa
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1⁄4 cup vanilla
directions
- Mix in a 6 quart kettle the first 6 ingredients until it is well blended; add another cup of water and stir again.
- Bring to a boil and make sure its a rolling boil for at least five minutes. Watch closely or it will boil over.
- Add 1/4 cup vanilla.
- Remove from heat.
- Boil lids and rings.
- Pour into sterile jars and seals.
- Refrigerate after opening. Makes 5 pints.
