This is a quick and easy recipe that packs a punch, flavor-wise. Simple for a weeknight dinner or good enough for company! I don't remember where I got this recipe, but it was likely in a magazine. I serve it with pasta. A favorite at my house!
Season chicken breasts with seasoning salt and garlic powder. Melt butter and add chicken. Brown chicken till golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
While chicken is searing, mix water and soup mix in a bowl. When chicken is browned, add soup mixture to skillet, bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 7-10 minutes depending on thickness of chicken, (until chicken is no longer pink.).
Transfer chicken to a plate, add sour cream to sauce in skillet, (I use the full 1 cup), and return chicken to skillet and warm through.
