  1. Love this dessert! I get wonderful comments on it, and it is so easy I feel that I'm cheating when I take it anywhere.

  2. This dessert was delicious. Itook it to our senior citizen picnic and it was a hit. There wasn't a crumb left. I made some slight changes;Iused Peach pie filling instead of appleand substituted Pecans for the Walnuts.

  3. I'm so glad I found this recipe. When I was growing up my sister in law who has now passed used to make this. She called it Apple Kuchen which is german. I love this dessert and so does my husband!! I also used fresh apples.

  4. I brought this to a potluck and people loved it! I'm not much of a cook, but the preparation here couldn't be easier. I followed the recipe exactly.

  5. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about making this... sour cream and egg on top?! But I had all the ingredients, so I tried it and WOW! what a surprise! It was like a mix between an apple pie and a creamy cobbler! My hubby came back for huge seconds! I have made it twice already and will make it for Thanksgiving too! Thanks so much!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
