- Place cornmeal, sugar, salt, butter, and milk in a double boiler, cooking until thick, stirring frequently.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Place yeast and water in a bowl to foam.
- Add beaten eggs and yeast mixture to cornmeal mixture.
- Mix well.
- Add flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead well, place in greased bowl, cover and let rise for one hour.
- Punch down and form rolls.
- Place on a lightly oiled sheet pan,set in a warm place to rise for at least thirty minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 Degrees.
- Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
- I use rapid rise yeast, so I just mix the yeast and flour, and combine the eggs and water.
