  • Place cornmeal, sugar, salt, butter, and milk in a double boiler, cooking until thick, stirring frequently.
  • Cool to lukewarm.
  • Place yeast and water in a bowl to foam.
  • Add beaten eggs and yeast mixture to cornmeal mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Add flour to form a soft dough.
  • Knead well, place in greased bowl, cover and let rise for one hour.
  • Punch down and form rolls.
  • Place on a lightly oiled sheet pan,set in a warm place to rise for at least thirty minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 Degrees.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • I use rapid rise yeast, so I just mix the yeast and flour, and combine the eggs and water.
