ingredients
- 3 -4 apples, peeled and diced up
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup sugar or 1/4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
- 1⁄2 to taste cinnamon
directions
- Put diced apples into a saucepan. Add water. Simmer, covered until cooked down, mash up any chunks left.
- Take off heat and add sugar or Splenda and cinnamon; mix. Serve warm or refrigerate.

I'm always interested in finding another applesauce recipe & here's my one for this month! I made it as given (with the Splenda sugar substitute) & with very satisfying results! Did use the apples suggested, but then left some of the chunks unmashed! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed for 1 of my adopted chefs in the current Pick A Chef]
