VERY close. I made the recipe with only a small adjustment - more jalapenos to almost a full cup. To get the consistency we expect I used the blender to make it mostly smooth. As a couple it took several days to eat and it definitely got hotter as it went. Will be saving this recipe as it is as close as I can expect without going to Chuy's.

I followed the recipe portions per this recipe and I used a food processor to mix the ingredients. I simply portioned out each ingredient into the food processor and mixed, rather than allowing some of them to sit for an hour as instructed. The flavor was good, but wasn't quite as robust as Chuy's. I added 1/2 tsp more garlic and 1 tsp more lime and in my opinion, it was much better and tasted more like the restaurant's version.

This is VERY close. Next time I'll cut the garlic and salt in half (the garlic was overpowering for me). I used tomatillo salsa instead of the green chiles, and chopped everything in the food processor before adding to the ranch/mayo/milk mixture. I also wanted it slightly less spicy, so I cut back to 2/3 cup of jalapenos.

I am a stay at home mommy of 2. I have a 4 year old boss (girl) and a 2 year old loverboy. They make every day fun, full, exciting, frustrating and everything in between. I love to cook and like to find things that my 4yo picky eater will like. My hubby and I have gotten to really enjoy the food in this area. We are currently living in the Texas Gulf Coast but are originally from Utah. I have noticed that Southern cooking is an art form with no exacts. I love that!! My husband and I have been together for 12 years and married 6 glorious ones!;) He is a good sport and will try almost anything.
I love to bake and strive to be "that mom" that always has a treat for everyone that is fun and good.
