Chocolate Cherry Cafe Glace

For cherry puree
- 2 pints fresh cherries, pitted
- 2 tablespoons Splenda sugar substitute (or to taste)

To serve coffee
- 3⁄4 cup brewed coffee, very hot
- 1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate syrup
- 1⁄4 cup sugar-free vanilla ice cream (small scoop)
directions
- Pit the cherries, and place in the blender with Splenda, and a little water or juice as needed, puree smooth. You may need more or less Splenda, depending on the sweetness of your cherries. This will keep tightly lidded for several days.
- Mix coffee, chocolate syrup, and 1 to 2 tbsp of cherry puree in a big, wide mug.
- Top with a the ice cream, and give it a few moments to start to melt before drinking.
- Enjoy!

This was very enjoyable. If you want sweet or dessert coffee, this is it. My fiance and I think the ice cream really adds too much sweetness for our taste. I tried it with just the syrup,the cherry mixture, and milk and it was better. Also, check the sweetness of the cherry mixture before adding it. My cherries were NOT very sweet. Made for THE GROOVY GASTROGNOMES & ZWT5.
