Similar to my family recipe, but I add about 1/2 cup of red wine after onions have sautéed. I also let it cook all day, sometimes adding partially cooked meatballs towards the end.

My family loves it with Bucas own recipe for meatballs. I also add one or two teaspoons of sugar to the recipe. My grandmother who is Italian did that with her sauce.

I have this cookbook and this was the first recipe I headed for. I doubt I will ever make a different marinara sauce - easy, and delicious!
