ingredients
- 2 cups cooked brown rice
- 1 1⁄2 cups skim milk
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
directions
- combine rice through sugar in medium saucepan and bring to boil.
- reduce heat and simmer stirring frequently for approximately 15 - 20 minutes (until reaches a porridge consistency).
- remove from heat and stir in butter.

Very good basic recipe! and easy too. I had brown rice left over from another recipe and DH was asking for rice pudding "with raisins", so I added a combination of raisins and dried cranberries with a touch of vanilla. I used 2% milk because that is what I had in and used splenda instead of the sugar. Turned out delish, thanks for posting I will be making it again.1Reply
