  • i select basic white bread setting, light crust and 1 1/2 lb loaf.

  1. This rating is for the original recipe. As is, the recipe is pretty good but in our machine the bread came out a bit too moist. I used the same settings as the original poster recommended. I've since tried reducing the amount of water down to 1 1/4 cups and that seems better. With that minor change, I'd rate it 4 stars.
     
  2. This was excellent! I followed the recipe exactly. I realized that I had been storing my yeast in the cupboard instead of the fridge as the container says too. I think it still rose fine. Maybe it would have been a bit lighter? Either way it is great. I made a loaf and sliced it and put it in the freezer in a plastic ziploc bag. I use the slices as I need them. Excellent recipe and I"ll be making this often I think. Tip: I take out the rotating kneading thing-a-ma-bobs out of the breadmaker after the last knead. It's easier to pull the loaf out of the breadmaker, and when you slice it, you don't end up with half your slices missing part of the bottom of the loaf.
