  • Slice each bacon strip into thirds.
  • Place the bacon strips onto a baking sheet then bake at 350 degrees F until just partially cooked but not crisp (or you may fry the strips in a skillet) remove and place onto paper towels to drain.
  • Carefully cut a slit in the center of each date then fill with blue cheese.
  • Wrap a piece of bacon around each stuffed date.
  • Secure with a wooden toothpick (do not use colored toothpicks for this).
  • Place onto a baking sheet.
  • bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.

  1. I don't like bleu cheese but I couldn't stop eating these things. The sweet of the dates with the salty of the cheese and bacon is awesome. I've been told proscuitto works well also.
