Oh my this is delicious!! My DH loved it also, which is very suprising!! He is a very picky eater! I would not change anything on this recipe. I followed everything as written. Very easy to make also. I will be making this again and again. Thank you Charlotte J we now have a new favorite in our household!!

This is very good. I made just half because there are only 2 of us. I also had trouble wrapping the ham around the asparagus, I guess it was cut too thick so I just laid half in the botton of the pan, then laid the aspargus on it and topped it with the rest of the ham before pouring the cheese sauce over all. A nice easy dish for a week night meal that isn't the same old thing. I'll be making this whenever asparagus is in season. I also "kicked" it up a bit by adding some garlic to the cheese sauce simply because I like garlic in mine.
