Apple Iced Tea

ingredients
- 3 peppermint tea bags
- 2 cups apple juice
- 6 mint leaves, torn
- ice cube, to serve
- 2 apples, halved, cored, thinly sliced
directions
- Place tea bags in large heatproof jug.
- Pour 2 cups boiling water over them.
- Stand 10 minutes.
- Discard bags, stir in juice and mint.
- Chill for one hour.
- Add ice and apple slices.
- Stir and serve.

Smooth with the exact amount of mint so as not to wash out the apple/tea flavors. Though perfectly light and refreshing as is, I added sugar because I like mine a tad sweeter. To compensate, my New Year resolution is to throw out all non-essential numbers...age, weight, calories, etc. What I don't know can't hurt me. Made for A-NZ Recipe Tag #58. -
Well must call this a hit as I made it last night to go with this evenings dinner but when I got home found DH and the man doing some repairs on our house had drank every last drop. I made as written, thanks for the post. -
Very refreshing! I have combined apple juice with cinnamon tea but never thought to try it with peppermint tea. Made for Everyday is a Holiday tag.

Made for Labor Day, Sept 09. We didn't want to serve anything to heavy, and this was the perfect choice. We have fresh mint growing in the back garden, and apples from our orchard, so we were cookin' on four burners here. (a saying) What is there not to love about this glorious taste of peppermint tea, apple juice, mint, and freshly sliced slivered apples a float in this tinkling glass of goodness. I didn't change one thing, as this is perfect the way it is! Made for *Everyday is a Holiday* September 2009
