Flavored Butter: Saffron and Cardamom Butter

You can create up to five timers


    1. 5 ounces butter, unsalted
    2. 1/2 teaspoon saffron ( may use more if you wish)
    3. 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
    4. 1/4 teaspoon flaked sea salt


  1. Soak 1/2 teaspoon saffron in 2 tablespoons single cream.
  2. Beat this, 1/4 teaspoon salt flakes and 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom into the butter until smooth.
  3. Roll, sprinkle another 1/2 teaspoon saffron strands over rolled butter, cover again and store in refrigerator.
  4. FOR GIFT:.
  5. Wrap each butter roll in foil and then tissue paper, twisting the ends like a sweet wrapper.
  6. Add a label with the flavour.
  7. Include suggestions for uses or recipes and bundle together in a gift basket.
