Wholemeal Bran Pikelets

Taken from an article on bench top cooking - they sound healthy, don't they ??
Ingredients:
1 cup
wholemeal self-rising flour
¼ cup
unprocessed
natural bran
¼ cup
raw sugar
1
egg
¾ cup
milk
Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender.

Process till smooth.

Heat frypan to moderately high.

Grease lightly.

Drop dessertspoons of batter into pan.

Allow room fror spreading and turning.

Cook till bubbles appear on top.

Turn and cook other side till golden brown.

Serve warm with butter.

What a nice way to start the day! Nice sweet, thick and tasty pancakes that come together quickly and can be eaten on the run. We liked the addition of the bran and that these stayed with us all morning. I made using Splenda brown sugar blend and Eggbeaters, thanks for the post.

These were lovely & filling, they make quite a dense pancake as the mixture is quite heavy.. I served them with recipe #427231 and both miss 4 year old DD and I enjoyed. Thanks!
