OK, in honour of the theme in the Beverage Forum being Absinthe, this one is for Cheryl! (Don't ask where the name came from, I have no idea!!) From the Absinthe website.

Directions

  1. Shake the absinthe, apple brandy and orange bitters with ice, then strain into a traditional martini cocktail glass.
  2. Heat a large ring of orange peel over an open flame until the oil of orange is released, then allow the oil to drip into the glass.
  3. Garnish with a ring of orange peel for a great show!

This is quite good! I was surprised that the Absinthe went as well as it did with the apple brady. The orange & orange bitters really toned down the strong Absinthe taste. This is a great Absinthe recipe! Thanks Leslie!
