Velvet Strawberries

"Simple and delicious, also looks beautiful in cut glass serving bowl or footed glasses. What's better than strawberries and cream with a touch of chocolate? This favorite recipe comes from a small paperback cookbook called Strawberry Patchwork, by Susan McCreary. I bought the cookbook many years ago while on vacation in Georgia."

  1. This is FABULOUS!! My mom made this for my family and a friend that was visting and everyone was quite impressed. It looked fancy and tasted wonderful. The cream goes perfectly with the strawberries. What a wonderfully satisfying dessert.

  2. So pretty and so easy to prepare! I halved the recipe, using a dark chocolate candy bar. My DH and I loved it! Thank you AggieMom!

Stay at home mom for the last 22 years. My daughter is in her fourth year at Texas A&M. I have a 15 yr. old son, also. I work with our family owned business doing part-time book work. I have so many cookbooks I've run out of places to store them. My daugher has finally gotten interested in cooking now that she's on her own and has started stealing my cookbooks! I love the Taste of Home series and a favorite cookbook is Typically Texas II. I love the LORD! And I also love teaching the two year olds in bible class. They appreciate the cookies I bake!
