Crowd size punch that goes together quickly. Might be a bit strong at first, but as the ice begins to melt, it comes out just right. Tastes good even with cheap tequila. Number of servings is a guess. Cook time is chill time.
- 24 ounces frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
- 3 cups tequila
- 3 cups water
- 2 cups triple sec orange-flavored liqueur
- 1 cup lime juice, fresh if possible
- thinly sliced lemons or limes (to garnish) or oranges or maraschino cherries (to garnish) or strawberry (to garnish)
- Combine all ingredients (except garnish)in a container and chill several hours or overnight.
- Transfer to punch bowl.
- Add 2 medium blocks of ice and serve.
This is an excellent drink!! It is very close to a Margarita. It was not as strong as I thought it was going to be. It's a very relaxing drink. I cut it down to one serving, which was just the right size for me. I dipped the rim of my glass into Rose's Lime Juice and then in salt. That is how I like my Margarita's. This was very easy to make and has ingredients I always have on hand. I will be making this drink again. Thanks for sharing your recipe LW. Made for the March '08 Bevy Tag game
UPDATE: The next day I added some cherries and their juice to thisn drink! WOW! Added a little sweetness and a totally different flavor! Now I have two ways that I love this drink! *********This goes together fast and made a tasty and fun drink. LOVE the name so I had to try this. I am gonna add some extra cherry juice next time so I get the pretty color that NcM did. Her pics are always so gorgeous! Thanks for a great fast party punch! zwt 3
I love this drink! I reduced the recipe to .5 and made a single serving. Smooth and refreshing! I used Cuervo Especial 100% agave tequila. This would be a great beverage for a BBQ or outdoor party. Thanks Little Wing, from a member of the ZWT3 Whine & Cheese Gang!
